We couldn’t be more excited that summer is finally here and with a renewed sense of freedom, happiness and carefree summer style. There is no shortage of summer trend inspiration of women wearing a plus size, floral maxi dresses, rompers, and cold shoulder shirts abound, but what to do if you prefer a more timeless style? During our weekly “Ask the founders” Zoom call our customer Mindy put it best. “Just because I am a plus size woman doesn't mean I want to sacrifice my sense of style to feel cooler and comfortable. I want to dress with ease in my own style.” While its true - we may have all gotten more casual with lockdown mode, we don’t want to spend summer in leggings and a sweatshirt. Even before quarantine, a classic chic look is easily created in cold weather with layering, think denim, turtle neck or cardigan, booties, blazer. But during warm weather months it can be a struggle to find breezy summer-friendly plus size fashion that still fit a classic and timeless aesthetic. Don’t get us wrong, we love a good beach vibe, but if you would like to make your clothing go further and more versatile (yes, these can brunch to beach to boardroom) check out our easy summer-friendly staples to keep cool all summer while staying true to your sense of style.
