These type of one-and-done styles mimic the casual outfit effortlessness we all loved during lockdown, but now are available in #postpandemicfashion made popular with social media and seen on influencers. With patterns this spring more is more. Layer your patterns or wear matching sets. Pay zero attention to old rules about how plus size women wear horizontal stripes. That. is. OVER! Biblical Tunics
By now we all appreciate ease in our dressing. Many of the summer 2021 fashion trends represented a return to simplicity, and we can’t think of anything more simple than a tunic. When we saw tunics presented on the runways it was an instant no-brainer. Glowsy.com coined the trend 'Biblical Tunics' based on the kinds of cinematic costume design for Bible stories.
There were a few tunic dresses at Chloé with ruffles and eyelets made more earthy with a thick leather belt. Then Michael Kors, the tunics were mostly collared and button-up shirt style but still relaxed and heavenly. There were bold stripe tunics at Christian Dior combining two timeless fashion basics made fresh - the stripe and the tunic.
Cut it Out
Another trend that continues to go strong in the spring summer presentations is cut outs. With their sensual, revealing allure who could deny the need for this trend right now? A nod to body-revealing clothing was unapologetic in women's clothing at brands like Chloe (pictured below right). Body type schmody type! Everyone needs to get in on this fun and feel the freeing effects of celebrating. 
After a year of slouchy, cozy clothes, it’s not hard to see the appeal of a cut out wrap dress or an open neckline, showing a little skin. There is a certain body positive punch and declaration that when we are dressing for ourselves our bodies are worth celebrating. We have gotten accustomed to wearing slouchy and baggy clothing for almost a year and its finally time to change things up a bit.
