Last week we wrote a letter stating our intention to infuse NYFW with representation of diversity in ethnicity, age and size. This started as a conversation, an idea - then grew to a true collaboration with five dynamic and pioneering women within the plus size fashion industry. Maddy Jones, Meaghan O’Connor, Kelly Augustine, Maxey Greene and fashion photographer Lydia Hudgens.
It is imperative that New York Fashion Week street style photography capture the reality - showing diverse backgrounds, personal style and fashion inspiration. To not depict diversity in ethnicity, age and size is to say it does not exist. See Rose Go sees and hears the obvious exclusion of plus-sized women. It is our goal to bring center-stage the beauty of all women, as representation matters.
At See Rose Go our brand focus is to support women. Regardless of the size tag in our clothing we are all multi-dimensional women beyond labels. This NYFW, we capture the energy of four women as they partake in NYFW. We are inspired by their individual expression, their natural sense of style and authentic camaraderie.
Each woman featured in our series brings her unique story through her experience, background and self expression. That is the brand focus at See Rose Go, her path and that she is taking it. This marries with our design ethos to create versatile, smart and effortless clothing designed to see her go.
Join us, follow and share this exciting journey through new imagery which celebrate all women, what they represent and their expression of style.
